马来西亚:由于日本地震和海啸后的重建使木材需求量至少增加5%,马来西亚的木制品出口量预计将比往年增加。马来西亚种植业及原产品部秘书拉希姆(Datin Paduka Nurmala Abdul Rahim)对记者说:“日本是马来西亚木制品最大的进口国。去年,日本从马来西亚进口了价值37亿林吉特的木材和木制品。我们希望马来西亚今年的出口额将超过去年的205亿林吉特。”2008年和2009年马来西亚的木材和木制品出口额分别为227亿林吉特和195亿林吉特。今年1月份,马来西亚的木材和木制品出口额为18亿林吉特,高于去年同期的17亿林吉特。
Malaysia: Malaysian exports of wood products are expected to increase as compared with previous years due to a 5% increase in timber demand due to the post-earthquake and tsunami reconstruction in Japan. Datin Paduka Nurmala Abdul Rahim, Minister of Plantation and Products Division of Malaysia, told reporters: “Japan is the largest importer of Malaysian wood products. Last year, Japan imported RM3.7 billion worth of timber from Malaysia and We expect Malaysia to export more this year than last year’s MGB 20.5 billion. ”Exports of timber and wood products in Malaysia in 2008 and 2009 were 22.7 billion ringgit and 19.5 billion ringgit, respectively. In January of this year, Malaysia’s exports of timber and wood products were 1.8 billion ringgit, up from 1.7 billion ringgit in the same period of last year.
