一般平板型太阳能热水器通常只能产生50℃左右的热水。能不能利用太阳能生产开水呢?当然能!目前国内研制和应用的真空管集热器及各种聚光式集热器(包括太阳灶),便是能将水加热到100℃以上的装置。然而这些集热器比平板型热水器的成本高得多,工艺也较复杂。浙江大学热工教研室太阳能热利用研究组经过几年的努力,研制出一种“蜂窝结构太阳能集热器”,并于1982年底通过了技术鉴定。这种集热器以一般平板太阳能热水器为基础,加上蜂窝结构而组成,共价格比一般平板型热水器只增加20%左右。它虽不聚光,但结构简单、运行方便。当水加热到100℃时,还有约25—30%的热效率。
