采用溶胶-凝胶(sol-gel)技术,以正硅酸乙酯、三氯化铝和硝酸铝为基本原料,按3Al2O32SiO2的组成配制成溶胶。将此溶胶对碳纤维进行涂覆并无机化,得到纤维单丝表面均匀致密的氧化物涂层。在高温下此涂层可从氧化物转变为莫来石晶型。涂层对碳纤维的高温抗氧化性有显著提高,并且增强了碳纤维与铝基体和碳化硅陶瓷基体的复合性能。
Sol - gel (sol - gel) technology to tetraethyl orthosilicate, aluminum trichloride and aluminum nitrate as the basic raw materials, according to 3Al2O32SiO2 formulated sol. The sol is carbonized and inorganicized to obtain a uniform and dense oxide coating on the surface of the fiber monofilament. This coating can convert from oxide to mullite at elevated temperatures. The coating significantly improves the high temperature oxidation resistance of the carbon fiber and enhances the composite performance of the carbon fiber with the aluminum substrate and the silicon carbide ceramic substrate.
