东海位于太平洋西侧,南起广东的南澳岛至台湾的鹅銮鼻一线,北至长江口到济州岛一线,东邻日本九州—琉球群岛和我国的钓鱼岛,西与我国东南沿海的浙、闽密切相联,面积约77万平方公里。其海域辽阔、陆架宽广,加上有数条大河注入其间,带来了丰富的有机质。它是目前尚未开发的一块油气处女地,引起了国内外学者极大的兴趣。 自七十年代以来,地质矿产部、石油工业部、国家海洋局、中国科学院及有关高等院校的专家和科技工作者,采用多种先进技术先后对东海进行了大规模的地球物理勘探和其它学科
The East China Sea is located on the west side of the Pacific Ocean from Nanao Island in Guangdong Province to Eluanuba Island in Taiwan to the south and to the Yangtze River Estuary to the front line of Jeju Island in the north. It borders on Japan’s Kyushu-Ryukyu Islands to the east and Diaoyu Island to the west of China, Closely linked, an area of about 770000 square kilometers. Its vast sea, broad shelf, with a few large river into the meantime, bringing rich organic matter. It is an oil and gas virgin land yet to be developed, arousing great interest of domestic and foreign scholars. Since the 1970s, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Petroleum Industry, State Oceanic Administration, experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences and related institutions of higher learning and scientific and technological workers have carried out large-scale geophysical prospecting and other Subject
