为了完成管输任务,提高管道运行的经济效益,设计者是根据允许的热损失来求取保温层厚度。有时要进一步根据能量的价格,施工费用,投产回收的年限,油品的物性,伴输水的比例,保温材料的干态性能等因素求取最佳的厚度。若保温层一经受湿,它就失去了干态时的优良性能,这时热损失就要增加,管道的运行就要偏离最佳工况。因此,设计良好的防湿护层及维护好保温层使不受湿是非常重要的。
