The paper mainly introduces how to realize the method of Chinese character annotation of geological achievements on the graphic workstation. Two important aspects of this method are discussed in detail: decoding of vector Chinese character base and Chinese character insertion of CPS-3 drawing system. By designing a user interface for this technology, it is the first time that a geological map of coalfields marked with Chinese characters is drawn directly on a workstation.
