As an African-American woman writer, Tony Morrison pays particular attention to the three hundred years of black history in the United States. Her protagonists bear heavy historical burdens. Reading her novels from the perspective of neo-historicism, we can see that her works focus more on the influence of the historical background on the people in the lower classes. Her intention is to restore the original features of history and to reconstruct the widely accepted and widely accepted experience of blacks by the mainstream view of history so as to find out the historical reasons for the existence of black people and awaken the historical consciousness of black people so as to explore the relationship between ethnic minorities History and the future.
