Xu Tong (1915-1999) is an anti-Japanese veteran from the foot of the Taihang Mountains. After the founding of new China, he responded to the call of the party and entered the military sector to take the lead, provoking a heavy burden on the motherland’s defense industry. In 1956, he was relocated from Shangrao, Jiangxi along with the factory to Yangzhou as the deputy party secretary of Yangzhou Auto Parts Factory and later transferred to Yangzhou Branch of Jiangsu Province as Deputy Party Secretary and Consultant of Yangzhou Traffic Bureau until Retired. It can be said that in the second half of his life more than four decades, Yangzhou has contributed tremendously to the transport industry. In 1994, when I edited Chi Chi, I learned a lot about his anti-Japanese deeds. I was deeply interested and got his consent. I would like to make this essay.
