Because cultural default is a special kind of cultural phenomenon, while the cognitive environment of original authors and target readers is different, cultural default may lead to misunderstandings or obstacles in intercultural discourse. This requires the translator to play its role in intercultural communication and take the necessary coherent strategy in the target language so that the reader can correctly interpret the discourse.
