2003年世界环氧树脂总生产能力约为160万t/a,总消费量约为120万t;预计2005年世界环氧树脂的总生产能力将达约190万t/a,消费量将达到约156万t。我国环氧树脂需求量的急速增加,吸引了一些生产环氧树脂的大公司争相前来大陆投资建厂,国内企业也纷纷新建或扩建生产装置。目前大集团公司既注重产品质量,又注重新产品的开发。近几年环氧树脂发展总趋势是亚洲市场需求将会继续强劲增长,但欧洲和北美的消费市场前景仍然不佳。从长远看,全球环氧树脂年均增长率可望达到4.5%～5%。在发达国家(例如美国等)增长滞缓,而发展中国家尤其是中国则可望获得快速增长。
