《装饰》工艺美术双月刊创刊于1958年下半年,当时的编辑部在阜外白堆子。编委18人都是工艺美术界的知名学者、老艺人和领导。转眼间33年已经过去了,那时这本刊物既是中央工艺美术学院的,也是工艺美术界的。我既是书籍装帧专业的教师,又是《装饰》的美术编辑。头三期我是美术方面的责任编辑,不久因为教学任务忙,我便离开了编辑部。后来我和书籍装帧专业61届的毕业班又共同编辑了第12期。我们在编排艺术的实践中,不仅使学生学到编排艺术的知识,更能体会到美术编辑的甘苦。张光宇先生是《装饰》的编委,也是建校伊始书籍装帧专业的创始人,是著名的装帧艺术家,民间艺术家和漫画家,更重要的他是实干家。他有丰富的中外装饰艺术的知识,但是他不尚空谈,他能讲陈老莲、齐白石,也能讲毕加索、西盖诺斯;他能讲民间玩具,也能讲书法艺术;他能讲京剧,也能讲昆曲。他知识广博,但却从来没有鄙视过美术编辑工作,也从不夸夸其谈。《装饰》初创期,他主要指导美术设计,这使我在与他交往中,不仅学到了编辑艺术的理论知识,更学到他那实干的作风和厚道的为人。
The “decorative” art and craft bimonthly was first published in the second half of 1958, when the editorial department was located in Fuwai White Heap. Editorial Board of 18 people are well-known academics and arts academics, artists and leaders. In the twinkling of an eye 33 years have passed since then this publication was both the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts and the arts and crafts community. I am both a book binding professional teacher, but also “decorative” art editor. The first three issues I am a responsible editor of art, and soon because of teaching tasks, I left the editorial department. Later, I graduated from the 61st class in book binding and edited the 12th issue together. In the practice of orchestrating art, we not only enable our students to learn the art of arranging art, but also appreciate the bitterness of art editors. Mr. Zhang Guangyu is a member of the editorial board of “Decoration”. He is also the founder of book binding at the beginning of the school. He is a famous binding artist, folk artist and cartoonist. More importantly, he is a doer. He has a wealth of knowledge of Chinese and foreign decorative arts, but he is not yet empty talk, he can speak Chen Laolian, Qi Baishi, can speak Picasso, West Ginos; he can talk about folk toys, can also calligraphy art; he can speak Beijing Opera, but also to talk about Kunqu Opera. He has a wide range of knowledge, but never despise the art editor, never to boast. During the initial period of “Decoration”, he mainly directed the art design. This made me not only learn the theoretical knowledge of editing art, but also learn from his practical work style and kindness in his contacts with him.
