本文报道了呼和浩特市1253名儿童智商测验结果，平均智商为103，较国内同类城市及中国城市儿童智商常模偏低，全市三个区儿童智商平均水平存在统计学显著差异，但碘缺乏病病情无明显差别。本文认为碘缺乏是影响智力水平的重要因素，除此而外，智力水平还受文化背景等因素的影响。
