Recently, an Australian study revealed that if you insist on not drinking sugary drinks, the annual incidence of diabetes in Thailand will be reduced by thousands. The result comes from a large-scale follow-up study of Thailand in 2005-2013 that includes samples of nearly 40,000 adults nationwide in Thailand. Using a new statistical approach, researchers found a correlation between the consumption of sugary drinks and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and this has nothing to do with the extent of obesity or weight gain.
