中国古代花鸟画自唐时发展为独立画科,宋时工笔花鸟登上高峰,水墨写意花鸟开始发展,这时花鸟画继人物画、山水画之后也具备了传神达意的功能。文同画墨竹,扬补之画墨梅,法常的水墨写意花鸟把花鸟的自然属性与道德品质相联系。元明时期文人画发展,文人借画画抒发内在情怀成为风气,徐渭放逸的笔墨间与“不似与似”之间的花鸟形象,使花鸟画的抒情功能得到更充分的发挥,
The ancient Chinese flower and bird painting developed into an independent painting section from the Tang Dynasty.
