本文介绍了一个利用组织培养手段诱导四倍体西瓜，并通过组织培养微体扩繁获得四倍体，从而可加速四倍体育种进程的新方法。实践证明：这将极大地缩短育种周期，加速四倍体和三倍体无籽西瓜新品种的选育。
In this paper, we introduce a new method for inducing tetraploid watermelons by tissue culture and obtaining tetraploids by tissue culture propagation, which can accelerate tetraploid breeding process. Practice has proved that this will greatly shorten the breeding cycle and accelerate the tetraploid and triploid seedless watermelon breeding.
