巍山古为邪龙,又名蒙化,是唐代历史上曾显赫一时的南诏国发祥地和南诏国初期的都城所在地。明清之际,彝族左氏土司对其进行长达500多年的统治,是云南推行土司制度时间最长的地区之一,为云南“三大土府”之一。其间,巍山人文蔚然,被清朝御封为云南四个“文献名邦”之一。1994年1月,巍山被国务院批准为第三批中国历史文化名城。 Weishan ancient evil dragon, also known as Mongolia, is the history of the Tang Dynasty eminent Nanzhao country and the birthplace of Nanzhao early capital. At the turn of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the chieftain Zuo of the Yi ethnic group ruled over 500 years and was one of the regions with the longest time of carrying on the chieftain system in Yunnan and one of the “three major local governments” in Yunnan. In the meantime, Weishan humanities Wei Ran, Qing Dynasty was sealed as Yunnan four “document states” one. In January 1994, Weishan was approved by the State Council as the third batch of Chinese historical and cultural cities.
