In a sense, a country’s foreign policy is an outward extension and expression of its domestic concept. Therefore, when analyzing the reasons for Japan’s long-term alliance with the outside world, the concept of nationality in Japan is a useful perspective. Group awareness provides the widest cognitive background for Japan’s engagement in the group and its alliance, and self-restraint consciousness and realistic relativism have made Japan try its best to eliminate all the psychological worries and obstacles of the alliance. Based on the hierarchical society, “loyalty” and reliance consciousness are “loyalty” and dependence on others and extremists exchanged for profit, which leads Japan to form an alliance with the outside world. The political characteristics of alliances in Japan’s domestic politics provide political references for decision makers to choose alliance diplomacy.
