RadioLAN’s PC Card Wireless Interface Node, PWIN for short, is a bit further from the corresponding wired Ethernet card, but the adapter’s high-speed, low-connection wireless technology benefits laptop users who need wireless connectivity. Compared with competitor ProLAN’s RangeLAN2 and Lucent Technologies’ WaveLAN, PWIN delivers much higher output performance. The first two have a maximum output of less than 2M bps, while in the ZD Labs test, the output of PWIN is as high as 3.7M.
