Objective: To investigate the clinical difference between acute inflammation and post-inflammatory tooth extraction. Methods: A total of 126 patients with acute periarthritis of coronary artery were randomly divided into two groups. The affected teeth were removed after the control of acute inflammation and the teeth were removed during the acute phase. Complications and therapeutic effects were compared over the same period. Results: Tooth extraction in the acute stage of inflammation could shorten the inflammatory process. The postoperative reaction was light with no obvious increase of complications. Conclusion: Tooth extraction during acute stage of inflammation is one of the effective measures for the treatment of acute coronary periarthritis.
