In the United Kingdom where the “progressive” discourse has become mainstream, relations between people have become more unusual for even more benefits, and even the relationship between adults and children has been distorted. Dickens portrayed the reader to a reader as a selfish, cruel father in “The Dombey Dombey,” showing the sufferings of his children Florence and Paul in his “progressive” life, highlighting the alienated father and son relationship. In Desolation Villages, the young Siam Wever brothers and sisters, though benefiting from their “progressive” life in essence, are even more sharply demonstrating the harm they cause to their children through the “progressive” life.
