Objective: To understand the status of Helicobacter pylori infection in physical examination and to explore its distribution characteristics and related factors. Methods: A retrospective analysis of clinical data of 375 healthy subjects received by our medical examination center from May to September in 2012 was retrospectively analyzed. According to sex and age as analysis indexes, HP infection was detected by H. pylori IgG antibody test kit. Results: The positive rates of male and female in 375 cases were 40.0% and 39.5% respectively, with no significant difference (P> 0.05). The positive rates of infection in the three age groups were 14.7%, 26.4% and 43.0% in the younger age group, the middle age group and the advanced age group, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: There is no significant correlation between H. pylori infection distribution and gender in the physical examination population, and positively correlated with age. The elderly population is the major population of HP infection.
