1992年经过全路职工的共同努力，全面超额完成了铁路运输任务，1993年是“八五”计划的关键一年，应努力做好以下工作：积极挖潜提效、扩能；执行严格的纪律，强化集中统一指挥；加强基础工作，提高人员技术素质；贯彻落实“安全第一，预防为主”的方针，杜绝旅客列车重大、大事故；发展集装化运输和保价运输；纠正行业不正之风，提高服务质量；抓好新技术、新设备的推广应用；改革运输组织工作，增强自我发展活力，适应社会主义市场经济体制的需要。
