WASHINGTON - Last week, the government released its defensive research program on anti-ballistic missiles at a key parliamentary fund committee. It also defended a commentary and a defense plan. The plan’s new director, Air Force admiral James A. Abraham Johnson, has defended the Strategic Defense Proposal (SDi) in the Senate. The Congressional Office of Technical Evaluation (OTA) has published a report that there is no such good opportunity to produce a useful weapon with $ 26 billion of research funding. (See AW & ST Apr. 30, p. 21). Earlier, the House Armed Services Committee cut funding for starting the project from 317 million yuan requested by the government budget for FY 85 to 317 million yuan (see AW & STMay 7.P.22).
