Objective: To investigate the importance and appropriate dosage of water-soluble vitamins in full-nourishment of neonates. Methods: The level of WSVs in cord blood of normal neonates was measured by high pressure liquid chromatography as the reference value of the normal range, 42 children in total parenteral nutrition were divided into 3 groups and given 3 different doses of 9-D, Concentration monitoring, to explore the appropriate dose; the other 15 cases of non-use of serum WSVs consumption WSVs consumption; and this group and the previous incomplete WSVs group for clinical comparison. Results: Four kinds of serum WSV in the untreated group were lower than normal. The effect of this group was better than that of the untreated group. Conclusion: The whole vein nutrition of newborns must fully be supplemented with WSVs. The internationally recommended dose (RADs) for the newborn is too high, it is necessary to develop new formulations.
