In this paper, we retrospectively detected the markers of HBV, HCV and HDV in serum of 150 patients with posthepatitic cirrhosis (CIR). The results showed that the HBV infection rate was 100%, the HCV infection rate was 39.3% and the HDV infection rate was 42 .0%, 62.7% of CIR patients were heavily infected with two or more hepatitis viruses. Among them, the rates of double infection were: HBV / HCV20.7%, HBV / HDV23.3%, triple infection rate was18.7%, which were significantly higher than those in patients with chronic hepatitis B (P <0.01 or P <0.05 ). The results suggest that the infection of HBV, HCV and HDV is closely related to the occurrence of cirrhosis. Over-infection of hepatitis B virus may result in increased liver disease.
