改革,开放热潮逼人。东方风来满眼春,共和国改革开放的总设计师邓小平同志南巡的重要讲话,呼唤出神州大地万马奔腾的改革态势。面对新的机遇,面临新的挑战。统计部门应该怎样迎战,以何种姿态加入改革开放行列,我们认为:解放思想仍然是当务之急。解放思想,就是在统计改革开放进程中,更加自觉地、更加坚定地遵循一切从实际出发、实事求是的思想路践。特别是要结合统计工作的实践,创造性地进行统计改革开放。
Reform, opening-up craze. In the spring of the east, Comrade Deng Xiaoping, chief designer of the Republic of China’s reform and opening up, made an important speech on the southbound patrol and called for the tremendous transformation in the vast land. In the face of new opportunities, we face new challenges. How should statistics departments meet and take the attitude of joining the ranks of the reform and opening up? In our opinion, emancipation of the mind is still the top priority. Emancipating the mind means that we should follow more conscientiously and firmly all the ideas and practices based on reality and seeking truth from facts in the process of statistical reform and opening up. In particular, statistical work should be done in a creative way to carry out statistics reform and opening up.
