Myocardial fibrosis (MF) refers to the proliferation and collagen deposition of myocardial interstitial fibroblasts, and is also a common pathological factor of many cardiovascular diseases, eventually leading to heart dysfunction and irreversible heart failure. As a matrix protein, Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) is closely related to the occurrence and development of multiple organ fibrosis.
