每个国家都有自己独具特色的饮食礼俗,发达程度也各不相同。中国人的饮食礼仪是比较发达的,也是比较完备的,而且有从上到下一以贯通的特点。《礼记·礼运》说:“夫礼之初,始诸饮食”。在中国,根据文献记载可以得知,在周代时,饮食礼仪已形成为一套相当完善的制度。这些食礼在以后的社会实践中不断得到完善,在古代社会发挥过重要作用,对现代社会依然产生着影响,成为文明时代的重要行为规范。其中维吾尔族宴饮的习俗和禁忌很具有代表性。
