Objective To investigate the effect of targeted preoperative intervention on children undergoing elective surgery and the clinical effects achieved. Methods A total of 124 children undergoing elective surgery were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 62 cases in each group. The control group to take the usual mode of nursing work, the observation group using the targeted preoperative intervention, the venous access to be established in the operating room will be changed in front of the operating room, accompanied by their parents to complete the venipuncture; postoperative care and health guidance 1d before surgery completed. Observed and compared two groups of different nursing patterns on the impact of children and received the results. Results The success rate of primary venipuncture in observation group was 95.16%, and the waiting time for outdoor operation was 97.00 ± 26.06 min and the satisfaction rate of children and parents was 98.39%, which were significantly better than that of control group (83.87%, 133.00 ± 16.95) min and 88.71 %, The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions Targeted preoperative intervention can not only improve the success rate of primary venipuncture in children, relieve the fear of children and the psychological pressure caused by the prolonged waiting time of parents, but also improve the satisfaction, improve the quality of medical care and work efficiency.
