The activated carbon tetrachloroisophthalonitrile catalyst was prepared by the gas phase chlorination of isophthalonitrile and its deactivation characteristic curve was measured at 280-340 ℃. The results show that under the experimental conditions, the catalyst has a first-order deactivation characteristics.
