In order to deal with the severe challenges of China’s accession to the WTO, construction companies must accelerate the pace of institutional transformation and integrate the international practices with the operating system and operating mechanism as soon as possible. It is an inevitable choice to establish a modern enterprise system by reforming the shareholding system. However, there are still many unsatisfactory places in the current joint-stock reform of construction companies. According to incomplete statistics, the country is included in the establishment of a modern enterprise at the national, provincial (ministerial) level.
