Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of lercanidipine and perindopril in the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension. Methods A total of 240 patients with mild-to-moderate essential hypertension were enrolled in this study. Patients were divided into A, B and C groups by random number table (n = 80). Patients in group A received lercanidipine, patients in group B received perindopril, and patients in group C received combination therapy. The clinical curative effect and the dynamic blood pressure level at 24 hours before and after treatment were compared between the three groups. Results There was no significant difference in the levels of ambulatory blood pressure between the three groups before 24 hours of treatment (P> 0.05). The clinical curative effect and the level of ambulatory blood pressure at 24 hours after treatment in group C were significantly better than those in groups A and B Significance (both P <0.05). Conclusion The combination of lercanidipine and perindopril in treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension can effectively improve the blood pressure compliance rate and reduce the ambulatory blood pressure level, which is superior to the two drugs alone.
