本文泽自乔治·费区(George Fitch)自传《在华八十年》(My Eighty Years in China)一书第十章。
This article is from Chapter Eight of My Eighty Years in China autobiography by George Fitch. Fei Zu (aka Fei Wu-sheng) was born in Suzhou, China in January 1883 and returned to the United States. He returned to China at the beginning of this century and has long served the Young Christian Association. When he occupied Nanjing in December 1937 in Japan, he was elected Deputy Director-General of Nanjing International Security Zone and acted as mayor. He witnessed atrocities committed by the Japanese troops in Nanjing, such as burning, killing, robbing and prostitution. They also held many representations with the Japanese ambassador as chief security officer. “The Destruction of Nanjing” was written on the basis of the then diary and correspondence, reflecting some little-known details with a high historical value. Eighty Years in China was handed over to China’s Second Historical Archives by Tanya Condon, the granddaughter of George Fiji in November 1991, along with the “Documentary of the Nanjing Massacre” Information video a plate. Books and videos provide valuable evidence for the study of the Nanjing Massacre. I would like to thank Ms. Tanga Kennedy.
