由《卡尼-特雷克 马温》(KTM)公司制造的一条十一工位的自动线,已在Vauxhall汽车公司的Dunstable工厂投入生产,用来对Bedford TM系列载重汽车的桥壳进行加工。这条自动线使用抬起步进式的输送方法,由一条输送杆把工件从一个工位送到另一个工位。和随行夹具输送系统相比较,这个方法的优点是,工件在无夹压力的情况下从一个工位输送到下一个工位。而且,不需要随行夹具返回输送带,所以,设备的费用较低。输送杆的直线运动是由液压马达经齿条机构驱动的。
An automated line of eleven stations manufactured by KTM Company has been put into production at the Vauxhall Motor Company’s Dunstable facility to process the axle housing of the Bedford TM series of trucks. This automatic line uses a step-up delivery method to move a workpiece from one station to another by one transfer bar. The advantage of this method over the pallet handling system is that the workpieces are delivered from one station to the next without clamping. Moreover, the pallet does not need to return the conveyor belt, so the cost of the equipment is lower. The linear motion of the feed rod is driven by the hydraulic motor via the rack mechanism.
