On October 15, the EU and South Korea signed a draft bilateral free trade agreement in Brussels. Tariffs on exports and some non-tariff trade barriers between the two sides will gradually be canceled and the bilateral trade volume will thus increase by 20%. The draft, which deals with the automotive industry, also caught the attention of EU and South Korean automakers. In March this year, South Korea and the EU reached an agreement on the core issues of negotiations on the automobile and other fields. Both parties decided that within the three years after the entry into force of the agreement, 96% of the ROK merchandise exported to Europe and the EU should have 99%
