In the early days after the founding of New China, there was a major change in the vision of the transition to socialism between the CPC Central Committee and Mao Zedong. There are many reasons for the change. However, international factors have an important and significant impact on China’s early transition from neo-democracy to socialism. Faced with the grim international situation in which the two camps confront each other in the early 1950s, the Chinese Communist Party has adopted a one-sided foreign policy and China has accelerated its pace of transition from new democracy to socialism. The war of resistance against the United States and the aid of Korea further strengthened the strategic awareness of giving priority to the development of heavy industry. The support and assistance from the Soviet Union made it possible for China to make the transition to socialism in advance. The role model of the Soviet socialist construction has strengthened China’s confidence in the early transition to socialism.
