按照通常的坐姿,躯干与大腿之间的夹角为九十度或九十度以下。这种姿势使脊椎骨前倾,腰背很吃力,坐的时间长了疲劳感更明显,另外,这一坐姿也不利于呼吸和血液循环。美国一家公司在医生和理疗专家的协助下,发明了一种新式椅子(见附图)。它借助膝盖与小腿承受一部分体重,于是背部与整个上身能自动伸直,使人感到松驰舒坦,即使长时间坐用亦不易疲劳。
