油画“民族化”1是二十世纪五六十年代中国油画最重要的课题之一,董希文则是这个大潮中用力最深、影响最大的人物。他的《开国大典》一直被视为油画“中国风”的典型代表,其《从中国绘画的表现方法谈到油画中国风》也是最早全面阐释油画“民族化”理论的重要文章。由于油画基础薄弱、艺术受禁于政治等时代条件的限制,油画“民族化”的道路并未一帆风顺,董希文在其中扮演的角色也发生着嬗变。
Painting “Nationalization ” 1 is one of the most important topics of Chinese oil painting in the 1950s and 1960s. Dong Xiwen is the hardest-worked and influential figure in this tide. His “founding ceremony” has always been regarded as the typical representative of oil painting “Chinese style ”, and his article “From the Expression of Chinese Painting to the Chinese Style of Oil Painting” is also the earliest important article that fully expounded the theory of oil painting “Nationalization ” . Due to the weak foundation of oil painting and the restriction of the arts from the conditions of politics and other times, the road to oil painting “nationalization” has not been smooth and the role played by Dong Xiwen also has undergone a change.
