在对西方近代哲学的理解和把握中,transzendental概念占有一个核心的位置。现在较为通行的“先验”中译仅仅涵盖了这个核心概念的一小部分含义。因此,需要对这个概念的基本内涵做一重新思考,并选择更为恰当的中译。在思考这个问题时首先要考察这个概念的原创者康德本人的理解和解释,同时可以参考后来的康德研究者和新康德主义者对这个概念的理解。而后我们可以考虑这个概念在以后的哲学家那里的传承与变化;这主要是指它在那些以这个概念命名自己哲学思想的重要哲学家那里的传承和变化。整个思考的结果表明,目前更为合适的中译应当是“超越论的”。
In the understanding of modern Western philosophy and grasp, transzendental concept occupies a central position. The now popular “transcendental” Chinese translation covers only a small part of the meaning of this core concept. Therefore, we need to rethink the basic connotation of this concept and choose a more appropriate Chinese translation. When thinking about this question, we must first examine the understanding and explanation of Kant himself, the original creator of the concept. At the same time, we can refer to later Kant researchers and neo-Kantians to understand the concept. Then we can consider the inheritance and change of this concept in later philosophers; it mainly refers to its inheritance and change among the important philosophers who name their own philosophical thoughts with this concept. The result of the whole thinking shows that at present the more appropriate Chinese translation should be “transcendentalism.”
