Objective: To explore the difference of brain activity between congenial task and Conduct disorder (CD) young people and healthy control group (HC) by using functional magnetic resonance imaging. METHODS: The brain activity of subjects under pain empathy task was scanned by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and the characteristics of brain activity during empathy were analyzed. The activation signals of brain regions of interest were extracted and compared with those of empathy, impulse, attack and indifference Learning indicators do related analysis. Results: CD adolescents impulsive, aggressive, indifferent relentless qualities score was significantly higher than the HC group. When watching the pain video, activation of the right insula, the inferior parietal lobe, and the left anterior cingulatemen in the CD group was significantly higher than that in the HC group. The level of activation of the right insula, the inferior parietal lobule and the left anterior cingulate gyrus positively correlated with scores of offensive, impulsive and apathetic trait of the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: The overactivation of the right insula, the inferior parietal lobule and the left anterior cingulate gyrus may be the neurological mechanism of pain-related empathy in adolescents with CD.
