海底磁异常条带对研究洋壳结构及其运动学过程、地磁场变化及相关地球内部动力学过程、以及海洋矿产资源分布等具有重要意义.在过去几十年中,国内外学者对以上问题进行了系统的研究,取得了很多巨大的成果.本文将对这些成果进行综述,首先介绍海底磁异常数据的获取和采集流程,以及几种典型的海底磁异常条带的模型.然后深入讨论磁性条带的地质应用,主要包括地磁极性年表的建立,板块运动,磁异常的形状分析以及探测热液区等.接着介绍国内学者利用海底磁异常,在南海深海盆地的扩张和演化历史研究中的重要进展.最后对研究遇到的相关难点进行回顾与展望.
