毛松香又叫土松香或地脚松香。它是由于松树受到机械创伤、虫类的危害、真菌、细菌作用后,从树干或树枝中零星地冒出附着在树皮表面和掉在林地上的一种干松脂。此种干松脂在我省滇西、滇南和滇中地区的大面积松林中到处可见。而且收集简易,运输方便。但由于它冒出后较长时间的暴露在空气中,经日晒雨淋,其中的松节油已大部分挥发,树脂酸已大都氧化变质。因此它的颜色深暗,杂质多,质量低。目前一些地区采用土法加工,仅能得到黑色或棕红色不透 Rosin is also called earth rosin or rosin.
