OBJECTIVE: To compare and analyze the physical examination result of juvenile aviation classes in different regions, to explore the causes of the differences, to provide ideas for the formulation of training programs and to lay a foundation for improving the passing rate and flying rate of flight students. Methods 2894 junior middle school graduates who participated in the final selection of 2015 young aviation classes were double-blind physical examinations. The cross-sectional survey method was used to compare the physical examination of students in seven regions and the regional examination of six related departments and four test items respectively. Difference comparison. Results There were significant differences in the passing rate of examination among students in different regions, among which there was significant difference (P0.05) among the ophthalmology, surgery, neurology and ultrasound, while there was no significant difference in the rate of internal medicine and otolaryngology (P > 0.05). There was a significant regional difference (P <0.05) in distance vision, height and weight of students, and no significant difference in blood pressure (P> 0.05). Conclusion The physical differences among students in different regions are the result of comprehensive factors. The training program for youth aviation classes should take into consideration various factors such as geography, climate and socio-economic environment in different regions and in light of the local students’ physical conditions, formulate and implement training programs according to local conditions, and should not unify national standards.
