本文着重介绍国外常用高分子材料作药物载体的基本知识以及抗生素类药物拌和载体后,药物与载体间相互关系的研究。尽管文献报告都一致肯定抗生素类药物可以从各自的载体中缓慢释放出来,但不同品种抗生素类药物,不同牌号载体都不同程度地影响释放量和释放持续时间,所以应特别注意必须根据临床用途有选择地取舍具体的药物品种和载体。载体中最有害的成分之一——甲基丙烯酸甲酯,其残留部分对心血管有一定的抑制作用。目前认为临床最有疗效,最有价值的是硫酸庆大霉素珠链。
