晋芝8号是用晋芝1号和豫芝8号杂交,经多代多元病圃定向选育的芝麻新品种。该品种在品系比较、多点生产试验中,具有适应性广、抗逆性强、耐干旱、高产优质等特性。2010～2011年2年山西省芝麻生产试验8个试点总平均产量1 183.5kg/hm2,比对照晋芝1号平均增产12.23%,籽粒含油量55.0%,粗蛋白(换算系数5.3)23.8%,油酸含量43.0%、亚油酸42.9%,2012年通过山西省农作物品种审定委员会审定,审定编号:晋审芝(认)2012002,适于在山西省及相同生态区推广种植。
