中长跑项目在中学体育教学中是个难点。尤其是对初中女生800米跑这一耐久跑项目,学生们上课很发怵,许多体育教师也都感觉到此课不好上。但是,中长跑是要认真研究,提高教学质量的。提高800米跑的运动成绩,教师要教给学生练习耐久跑的方法:如何练,怎么练,使学生真正懂得理论,并掌握耐久跑的技能,从感性到理性,学习科学锻炼身体的方法,养成自觉锻炼身体的习惯,提高能力,在运动中加深对体育的认识和理解,终身受益。所以,初中女生的中长跑教学教法改革应该探讨研究。
