心脏在传统观点上是一个有丝分裂后期的器官,但心肌细胞重新进入细胞周期,激活有丝分裂,能够介导心脏的再生反应。Meis1转录因子作为一个心肌细胞周期阻滞过程中的关键启动子,调节CDK抑制剂的转录,缺失Meis1能够使心肌细胞重新进入周期,开启出生后心肌细胞增殖的开关。但Meis1在心脏再生中的作用以及其作用机制仍未完全明确。
The heart is traditionally a late-mitotic organ, but cardiomyocytes reenters the cell cycle and activates mitosis, which mediates the cardiorespiratory response. As a key promoter of cardiomyocyte cell cycle arrest, Meis1 transcription factor regulates the transcription of CDK inhibitors. The loss of Meis1 can re-enter cardiomyocytes and switch on the proliferation of cardiomyocytes after birth. However, the role of Meis1 in cardiomyocyte regeneration and its mechanism of action are still not fully understood.
