光纤通信的发展主要分为了四个阶段,从历史的发展来看,自光通信传输系统问世以来,一直都朝着不断提高系统容量的目标发展。在过去的几十年中更是突飞猛进,光纤通信系统的容量已经增长了几十万倍。光纤传递光脉冲来进行通信,有光脉冲相当于1,而没有光脉冲相当于0。由于可见光的频率非常高,约为10MHz的量级,因此,一个光纤通信系统的传输带宽远远大于其他传输媒体通信系统,这也是光纤通信一直对容量要求极高的原因。然而,光纤的潜力有多少呢,笔者将通过具体分析来论述这一问题。
The development of optical fiber communication is mainly divided into four stages. From a historical point of view, optical communication transmission systems have been moving toward the goal of continuously improving system capacity since their introduction. In the past few decades it is by leaps and bounds, the capacity of optical fiber communication systems has increased hundreds of thousands of times. Optical fibers transmit light pulses for communication, with a pulsed light equivalent to 1, and no pulsed light equivalent to 0. Since the frequency of visible light is very high, on the order of 10 MHz, the transmission bandwidth of an optical fiber communication system is far greater than that of other transmission media communication systems, which is why optical communication has always required a high capacity. However, what is the potential of optical fiber? I will address this issue through specific analysis.
