Objective: To study the role of Aedes albopictus in the transmission of dengue virus. Methods: The virus was isolated by C6 / 36 cell culture and combined with RFPCR. The serum antibody was detected by indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA). Results: The infection of Aedes albopictus in the blood of suckling rats with full infection was associated with a higher infection rate (50% -58%) to DEN Ⅰ ~ Ⅳ and was also transmitted by bite sensitive animals (suckling mice) DEN. Infected by the first batch of eggs of female mosquitoes, larvae and male and female adults, confirmed that Aedes albopictus can be transmitted by egg DEN, at least pass more than 2 generations. Conclusion: The mosquito has greater vector potency on DEN and plays an important role in maintaining the natural circulation of DEN virus
