Cavernous hemangiomas are the most common primary orbital tumors in adults. MRI T_1WI, the shape of a clear oval-shaped mass, and the extraocular muscle showed uniform intensity. On T_2WI, it shows a higher signal intensity than fat and muscle. This MRI feature is not specific to cavernous hemangiomas, and neurofibromas, pericytes, schwannomas, or other mesenchymal tumors may show the same characteristics. The authors describe the continuous enhancement of orbital cavernous hemangiomas with dynamic MRI after 2 cases of rapid intravenous contrast agent administration.
